Operations and Algebraic Thinking

 1.Solves multiplication and division word problems within 100.

2.Knows automatically all multiplication facts within 100 (times tables 1-10).

3.Fluently divide within 100 (division tables 1-10).

4.Solves two-step word problems using the four operations.

 

Number and Operations

 1.Rounds numbers to nearest 10 or 100.

2.Assess reasonableness of answers using mental computation and estimation strategies.

3.Fluently add and subtract within 1000 using strategies and algorithms.

4.Multiplies one digit whole numbers by multiples of 10.

5.Represents fractions as: 1) part of a whole, 2) part of a set, and 3) a number on a number line.

6.Compares fractions by reasoning about their size or place on number line.

7.Creates equivalent fractions and can explain why they are equivalent

 

Measurement and Data

1.Determines area by tiling the whole and connecting it to multiplication.

2.Uses area models to represent the distributive property.

3.Solves problems involving perimeters of polygons.

 

Geometry    

1.Compares and classifies two-dimensional shapes by their sides and angles.

2.Expresses the area of equal parts as a unit fraction of the whole.
