The elementary school music
program provides students in grades K-5 with the opportunity to
experience music through a variety of activities. During music
class an emphasis is placed on meeting the individual needs of
each student. Classroom activities include rhythmic development,
awareness of the singing voice, introduction to the families of
instruments, use of rhythm instrument accompaniment, development
of listening skills and creative movement, as well as the introduction
to music of different cultures and various styles of music.
