From the Desk of the Principal
Dear UES Community,
I can't quite believe that this school year will be over in another fifteen days! We have had a wonderful year with many proud achievements. A celebration of art from students in K-5 is now on display in our front halls. Various mediums are represented including weaving, painting, sculpture and drawings. Mr. Hodgdon says each of our students has at least one piece on display.
The next few weeks promises to be very busy with yard sales, presentations, picnics and field trips - lots of learning and fun! I'd like to pass on several reminders as we zoom into June. Ms. Terry, our librarian, hopes to have all the library books returned by June 9th. This gives her enough time to inventory the collection, to make repairs and to order additional copies of books.
You may have recently received a bill from Betty Hammond our food services representative. Kindly ensure that you child's lunch and snack bills are paid before June 6th.Our last school day will be Wednesday, June 18th. Students will be excused at 11:30 am. Fifth graders will be excused from MSMS and will not be riding home by bus. If you are visiting the school, for any of the upcoming class trips or presentations, please take some time to check the lost and found.
Mr. Francke, our new principal, will begin work on July first. I look forward to seeing you all in the upcoming weeks.
Sincerely,
